  1. I found this article really interesting. Colors have a huge effect on our lives and I don't think that most people really see or think about it. If we could only see in black and white, how we felt about things would be quite different. I found it interesting how in the article it talked about the differences between colors meaning and had a paragraph under each of them explaining it thoroughly. My favorite color is black which in the article says its meaning is sophistication. I think colors do affect our moods, but not really our thoughts.

  2. My favorite color is blue because I like the sky and oceans. Blue represents positive and courage for me. It is full of energy and warmth in my life. However, blue also shows that I feel lonely. Sometimes, I will have aggressiveness and defiance. In my opinion, colors always affect my daily choice and thoughts because of the visual impact. I prefer to choose the colors that I like. Such as, purple, blue, and green. I like the cool tone color better than warm-toned. After I read the article, I know more about the meaning of my favorite color. I think that color can influence my choices but it does not affect my thoughts.

  5. This is really cool to me because I really think that its true. I've seen that different colors effect my mood after painting my mood. My room used to be white and it felt cold and unfriendly. Then when I painted my room blue I noticed myself feeling calmer. I also noticed that my ability to get school work done improved and blue is supposed to promote intelligence.

  6. It's really interesting to think about how the things we see affect our mood and behaviors. Color is a huge influence in our lives and it is an essential tool you can use to customize your life. I can totally see this in my life, when I'm more sad I tend to wear more black and grey and when i am happier I tend to wear brighter more vibrant colors. I think that the colors you like are a byproduct of your thoughts and emotions which then stimulates your mood.

  8. My favorite color is yellow. Yellow makes me feel happy. I think they do affect me because I feel different emotions taking over me inside my head. I see other colors like red, I feel angry, when I see black, I feel fear, and when I see purple, I feel sad.

  9. This article was very interesting, as it used research findings to definitively explain why we like the colors we like. My favorite colors are green, purple, and orange. According to the article, this indicates my need for balance, spirituality, and playfulness. Green has always been a favorite color of mine just because I feel safe around it. And accordingly, "When the world about us contains plenty of green, this indicates the presence of water, and little danger of famine, so we are reassured by green, on a primitive level." This makes complete sense to me. One thing that I had a minor disagreement with was the author's assertion that grey makes everyone sad. While grey skies are pretty gloomy, I tend to wear the color grey a lot in my clothes. This makes me feel secure. Maybe because it's a neutral color, I don't seem to be offending anyone. In any case, grey can serve to make people content as well.

  10. My favorite color is blue and i don’t know why. I know that colors are huge part of our lives however I don’t really feel the effect of it because I think that people tend to do it unconsciously. The article is very interesting as well as the topic. From this article I realized that your favorite color really does represent you in some ways like your values or personality. The description of the color blue in the article does describe me.

  12. This is very good article. I liked how it got straight to the point on the what the colors represent. Green is my favorite color. Green is the color of balance. I have always wanted to balance life out my life and thoughts. Two of the positive values of green that stand out to me was refreshment and universal love. Refreshment is a feeling i like because its letting go and being fulfilled. Universal love is what the world is missing out on and i also believe that we can have more of it if people open up their minds and realize the truth. I do believe that colors affect our daily choices and thoughts because some colors attract our attention which can cause people to do things. Gray can cause us to have sad and melancholy thoughts and make someone not want to do anything, while on the other hand, red can make you want to get up and do something and have adventurous thoughts.

  13. This article really stuck out to me and I think it's very interesting. Personally my favorite color is black and the positive and negatives of this color are "Positive: Sophistication, glamour, security, emotional safety, efficiency, substance.
    Negative: Oppression, coldness, menace, heaviness."
Personally I do not think I would associate this color with sophistication, glamour or efficiency, but the negatives are spot on in my opinion.

  16. I strongly believe that colour can influence the way we feel. When I wake up in the morning with a specific feeling, I tend to go toward coloured clothing that best represents how I feel, that gives me comfort. My favorite color is Burgundy red. In the article, one of the connotations under red was warmth and that's how burgundy makes me feel. When I'm trying to be in a better mood I tend to go towards my favorite burgundy sweater. I found this really cool to learn about. Thanks for sharing it!

  17. My favorite color is purple. I don't know, I like chill things. Oh refer to the article, it says that purple is related to spirituality other things among that. Which I think is a bunch of bologna, I have never felt spiritual because of purple or any color matter of fact. Of course not, colors are just to please eyes not to affect decisions. For others sure color can be a factor, but to me all it is, is a color. Good night.

  18. I found this really interesting. Ever since I was a kid, green has always been my favorite color. This article mentions that green means balance and equilibrium. I've always believed that if something good happens, then something bad is bound to happen and that it's just how things work in the world. Also, I do think that colors are associated with people's mood. Like when someone is depressed or just sad, they sometimes prefer to be alone where it is quiet and has a dark look to it. Just like how sad people listen to sad music because they relate to it. When someone feels full of energy and radiance, they tend to go outside in the sun where it is bright and full of colors and do fun activities.
